Robert Burns The Bard Of Scotland

As England has William Shakespeare. Scotland has Robert Burns.

A writer of beautiful language and imagery he wrote hundreds of poems ranging from love, to people to toothache. It is tradition is Scotland to honor him with a Burns Night Supper where he is toasted and remembered for his contributions.

So for Scottish visitors to MLCWO  and in honor of his birthday today, January 25, a little homage to one of the world’s greatest crafter of words.

A Red Red Rose

O my Luve’s like a red, red rose,
That’s newly sprung in June:
O my Luve’s like the melodie,
That’s sweetly play’d in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.

Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.

And fare-thee-weel, my only Luve!
And fare-thee-weel, a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho’ ’twere ten thousand mile!

Review

Well this movie wasn’t exactly what I thought it was going to be but it was quite entertaining nevertheless. I have seen some of the animations which the movie was based off of and I was expecting a lot more from it but it was just so similar to the animation that it wasn’t really anything new in my opinion. Although it was entertaining.

While the story may not have been fantastic and it had a lot of holes, the cinematography was quite good. How Max would mess with energy and then transform to be in the suit was quite interesting to watch and was done well.

There weren’t really any famous actors in the movie that I was able to just look at and know who they were and there really wasn’t much hype to do with the movie unfortunately as well. I didn’t even know that it had come out yet so I was surprised when I found out that it had been released.

There isn’t terribly much to say about the movie in my opinion. If you’ve seen the TV show then it may be entertaining because all the holes you can fill in because you know from the TV show what is what. If you haven’t seen it, it is an entertaining movie and quite unique in what it does, however you will find a lot of holes in it.

Overall, would I watch it again? Probably not. For a one time watch it was perfectly fine however I wouldn’t personally watch it again.

Have you seen it? If so, what did you think?

Happy watching!
