If you area  book lover chances are you have strong opinions about what you are reading.

Print vs A Reader.

Fiction vs Non-fiction.

YA vs Adult.

Mr. Darcy vs Mr Rochester.

Team Edward vs Team Jacob.

You get the idea.

Throw into this mix comics.

Do you or don’t you?

And on the topic do they even qualify as reading? (we will leave that debate up to educators and literary scholars)

Well, just in case the concept of comics is almost alien to you and you are interested in finding our what they are all about Book Riot has got a very informative video that will help. Great for beginners.

But it just begs the question…. DC or Marvel?

July is the month for Independence Day, hotdogs, beach trips, dog days and Comic Con.

What is Comic Con you might ask? Well, if you are a lover of The Avengers, Thor, Batman, Star Wars, The Hulk and Marvel Comics (to name just a few) Comic Con is the place where you want to go to find like minded types, dressed in cool (or zany) costumes. In recent years stars have been seen there. No, not celestial stars but Hollywood stars, television stars. and many others. Hints of what is coming in upcoming movies, television shows, comics and books are shared and there are Q & A’s with actors, directors, writers. Lots of fan girling. And it’s a little like Halloween for grownups.

Really.

No kidding.

And to think it all started with comic books.
