Inkheart – Movie Review

This move stayed pretty darn close to the book. It was funny, it was creepy, it was weird, and it kept you entertained. It was atmospheric, and it was stunning. Brendan Fraser (who is in movies like Journey To the Centre of the Earth, and The Mummy) played the part of Mo like it was his natural self. I have to say that almost all of the characters were like I had imagined them. The only people who were not were Meggie, and Capricorn. The only thing about the movie that was the down side was that it did not have all of the details. The book was about 500 pages and it had a lot of detail. The movie just summarized parts of the book up consequently it was only a 1 hr 45 min. movie.

But here is a tip from me. If you do not like things that have some a little scary things then this might not be the movie for you. There is not a lot of violence but it has fantasy violence. This move was really good and I would tell anyone that if they like fantasy, this is the movie for them.

Summary

Meggie’s father Mo is looking for a book. A very valuable book. A book that he read some nasty people out of and lost his wife into. Capricorn (the nasty man) now knows where Mo lives and wants to come after him. Capricorn calls him Silvertongue because he can read people off a page and Carpicorn wants him to read the Shadow out. The only problem is that Mo escapes them but leaves his daughter behind. There is a suspicion that Meggie can do the same thing as her father. Another Silvertongue?????? Will Mo, with the help of Dustfinger  (you will have to read the book to find out who he is) stop Meggie from reading the Shadow out of the book. Will they be able to foil Capricorns horrible plan before it is too late????

Review

This was a really good book I have to say. It took me a while to read it but once I was done I thought, ‘WOW. Why did it take me this long to do read this book?’ I think it was because in the middle of the book there is a part which I found boring. There is not much to say about the book because this book only has one word needed to describe it.
