Review

This show was sooooo cute! Like it was adorable. It was definitely a romantic comedy although the romance that the viewers would want didn’t happen until much later in the season which was so annoying. It was honestly such a romantically frustrating show because of that too. I kept wanting Seung Jo and Ha Ni to get together but it took forever!!!

First off this show had an adorable theme song. You can tell a lot about a show from the theme song and since it’s got such a light theme song, you can tell it’s going to be a light an fluffy show.

Now this show was a romantic comedy and that was pretty much strictly all it was about. There were a few other themes such as growing up and going to university, but the majority of the show was just about romance which was cute as a lot of other shows have so much going on, or some do. But do not confuse this show with an anime or anything like that. It’s a Korean Drama and these shows of course usually don’t have much going on for the story line and are fluff to watch.

Playful Kiss' cover

There was a little bit of character development within the show, but for the most part Seung Jo pretty much remained cold through the entire show and Ha Ni continued to be cute and light and bubbly throughout the show which was nice. She was always so happy that you couldn’t help but smile whenever she was on the screen, which was most of the time.

Definitely towards the end of the show, when their relationship started to develop the emotions went up, big time. I was pretty much bawling towards the end, though I won’t tell you why.

Honestly, this was just a cute TV show and definitely one to check out if you have some time. You can find it on Netflix or some KDrama website where you can watch it for free. It does make most Top 10 Romantic Comedy Korean Drama’s so it is a good one to check out.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season 5)

Summary

This TV show happens some time between Episode II and III while the Clone Wars was in full swing.

Review

This TV show is definitely addicting if you like Star Wars. I know that a lot of people are not terribly interested because they don’t think that it will be that good, but I have to say, that it is very interesting and very enjoyable.

I reviewed Season 1-4 here. This season, in my opinion, was one of the best so far. It had so much going on and wow, the ending of this season was a knife to the heart.

The animations in this TV show have definitely progressed in my eyes and in the eyes of the director, David Filoni. In the beginning they did not have many complicated sets, but as the TV show progressed, they started to do more complex creatures, more complex environments, and more explosions.

Click here to see some information on the huge explosion, see how it was made, and see the scene.

This season had a lot of cliff hangers and definitely had an underlying story running through the entire thing. You also really got the see different emotions from the characters as well which I really liked. As the season came to the end you could see Ahsoka’s struggling, and Anakin’s struggling as well with their opinions and emotions. Also through this entire season, you could see Anakin starting to go downhill. Then in the last 5 minutes of the last episode, you could see what was going to happen as everything was starting to unfold.

I have never seen, in an animation series, a more memorable, unforgettable, emotional, unsatisfying finale EVER! When I say unsatisfying, I do not mean that in a bad way. I mean that I want more now and I dont think that there will be more as I am not sure if there will be a season 6. I was crying during the season finale and I never cry over an animation. But still, when I think about it, I get a sick feeling in my stomach and I get the lump in my throat. THE BEST FINALE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU HAVE TO SEE IT LIKE NOW!

I have no idea when it will come out on DVD as the season just ended last Saturday. But, never the less, you should start watching from Season 1!

If you like it as much as I do and have opinions on anything, leave it in the comment or email me at

I would to discuss as M.O.M has no interest in discussing it at all.

I hope that you enjoy.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Season 1-4)

Summary

A tv series which follows the Clone Wars. It happens some time between Episode II and III while the Clone Wars was in full heat.

Review

This is the coolest and cutest TV show. If you are a big Star Wars fan (meeeee) then this is definitely something that would be interesting to watch. It is more for kids but teens would definitely enjoy it too.

The animations are not full quality from movies like Rio and Rango, but the sharpness and comic book quality really add the effect.

It is really colorful and the story lines are great. Also the episodes are nice and short, only about 20-25 minutes per episode. What is great about it though is that there are so many things happening in one episode. Also there are a lot of cliff-hangers which keep you wanting to check back.

The story line is just expanding Star Wars and all of the different worlds and creatures which you may have seen in the movies. Creatures which you saw in the background you learn more about in different episodes.

You follow the main characters, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano who is Anakin’s padawan. It follows then as they work together with the Clones and their struggles against the Separatists.

The tv show does have some violence but it is all Star Wars violence and there is no blood due to the fact that light sabers and blasters don’t create blood.

It does promote working together and giving forgiveness. There are a lot of good and positive messages.

I do suggest checking this out but it helps to watch the movie first, Star Wars: The Clone Wars as it introduces many of the characters.

If you have already started watching it, tell me what you think of it so far, and Season 5 will be coming out soon. So who are you sided with, Republic of Separatist?

“May the force be with you!”

The Vampire Diaries (2009-) (Season 1-3)

Starring

Nina Dobrev – Elena Gilbert
Kat Graham – Bonnie Bennett
Candice Accola – Caroline Forbes
Paul Wesley – Stefan Salvatore
Ian Somerhalder – Damon Salvatore
Steven R. McQueen – Jeremy Gilbert

Review

Definitely an interesting and entertaining show to watch. It really brings back memories of Twilight, except that Jacob in this case is a vampire (played by Damon XD). There are some similarities between the Twilight series and this tv show, but still it is a great watch and so much fun.

The acting is really superb in this. The tv show is about Elena who is a doppelgänger and it keeps referring back to Katherine who looks exactly like her. So Nina has to play two different personalities, the evil vampire and the charming girl from Mystic Falls, Virginia. Ian has to have two sides as well due to the fact that he enjoys killing and in the beginning was really evil. He has this softer caring side and then this heartless killer side. Paul has a double-sided character as well. In the beginning he was all good and in the later seasons he started to go all evil, and I mean really evil.

The filming is really interesting too. When there are flash backs it is done in this kind of washed out, white-tint and it has blurred edges…etherial quality. And in the modern-day, it has this kind of softness to it. None of the colors are extremely vivid.

Also this is not like your average vampire story. The vampires don’t turn to dust in the sunlight (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) they just burn and they have to move out of the sun as if they do stay in the sun too long they can die. The sun is just extremely painful as they have extremely amazing healing capabilities. They also don’t sparkle in the sun (Twilight.) They can be reflected in mirrors. They can die by having a stake driven through their heart or ripping their heart out.

This is ‘CW’s most smoldering cast’ and this is a definite draw to the tv show. But also there is a really entertaining story line of Elena being a doppelgänger and how people want to have her killed while other’s want her blood as certain spells or things can only happen with her blood.

This tv show is kind of violent as many people do get killed, mostly vampires, and hearts are sometimes ripped out but not much is shown. Many people are hurt and put in the hospital but normally there is nothing too graphic. There is some sexual ‘activity’ in the tv show. Nothing inappropriate as such. Just some kissing and talking about having sex but nothing ever happens. There is also some drinking and drugs during the tv show. Jeremy, Elena’s brother, turns to drugs and smoking after their parents die. There are also some parties in the woods where there is drinking and many of the main characters do drink even through they are under age and do not get in trouble.

Overall this is a show for older viewers, probably 14 and up but it is a really interesting and entertaining show. You have to watch the episodes in order as there is a storyline and missing one episode means you miss a lot of really important stuff.

So go and get this one from your library and enjoy!
