Review

This movie was extraordinary. It was exciting, it was packed with adventure, there was humor, there was fight scenes. The fight scenes were incredible because you have to contemplate that there is a 14-year-old spying doing it. This movie was extremely good, and I will definitely watch it multiple times over. The acting in tis movie was phenomenal, it was done really well, and if you watch the behind the scenes, it really adds to the movie. They also had really good sets. And to add to the effect, everyone had a British accent except Jack Starbright because she is supposed to be American. Hope that you enjoy the movie.

Oh and this movie is PG.

Rating from CommonSenseMedia.org
Violence: Guns, shooting, fighting, and explosions throughout. A man with two guns (pointed into the camera) assassinates a character, although we don’t see the impact. A character is killed for making a simple mistake. Many scenes of peril, including car and motorcycle chases, skydiving, and careening off buildings, although no blood is shown.

Sex and Language: Some flirting between teens, and some uses of the word “heck”

Summer, Summer, Time Is Here!!!!!

Summer time is once again upon us. And do you know what summer mean for me. Well of course you don’t so that is why I am going to tell you. Summer time mean swimming, summer homework, being with friends (if they are around), going on holiday, and best of all reading as many books as I want. Oh and watching lots of movies too. But it also mean more blogging time and more posts for my fellow readers.

One thing that I thought of doing was to do a lot of books to movies this summer. As my readers will have a lot of time off, you can read the book and then enjoy the movie afterward. And my suggestion is that you always read the books first because the movies are sometimes different and/or edited. I personally find that watching the movie before I read the book is not that good because you expect one thing from the book but you get something different. That is just my advice.

Some of the books to movies that you can watch out for are….

The Chronicles of Narnia
The Golden Compass
Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter
Alex Rider
and many others.

Hope that you will enjoy the books and movies that I am going to review.

Review

The summary is taken from Netflix because there is so much happening that it was too hard for me to summarize. If I wrote the summary it would be a page long and you would not have to watch the movie. Anyway. This was a very good movie. I thought the way that they created it was very good. It seemed like it was from a different world but it was not to far out there. In one of the parts a royal persons throat gets cut and instead of the blood being red, as we know it, it was blue. This is because royal blood is supposedly blue. The movie was very creative and imaginative. I would definitely watch it agin. It is a see “many more times” movie. I hope that you will like it as much as I did.

I enjoy it so much I am going to be buying it. Normally when I borrow movies from the library I just watch it. This movie is a MUST have.

Rating: PG-13

Violence: Surprising amounts of fantasy/swashbuckling violence, including sword fights, knifings, and sorcery that ends in murder (a man drinks poison and keels over, another man is pushed off a ledge) and destruction. In one particularly brutal scene, a witch drowns a man with a voodoo doll and uses his body to try to stab another. In another scene, she slits a victim’s throat. Animals are also killed for witchcraft, and Yvaine is being pursued so a sorceress can eat her heart.

Sex: No nudity, but some kissing and a few cleavage shots. A young woman seduces a young man and gets pregnant (nothing explicit is shown). Tristan and Yvaine spend a night together, though the audience only sees them together under the covers.

Language: Quite benign; mostly just insults (“idiots”) and the occasional “damn.

Drinking, Drugs, & Smoking: Pirates drink, before, during, and after pillaging. Tristan and Victoria steal away for a picnic where they drink champagne.

Review

If you want a little action set in historical times, or to see how Robin Hood is portrayed (in a realistic sense) then this would be a good Saturday night movie. It was  little gory in some parts, and there was a lot of violence. People got run through with swords, people were hung, people were burned too. You get the picture. There were a lot of intense things going on so I would recommend not watching it unless you are 13.

This graph is from CommonSenseMedia.org

Rating – PG-13

Violence: Gory sword fights, hangings, firebombing of villages, basic medieval graphic violence.

Sex: Sexual Content (parents advised. For more information go to www.commonsensemedia.org and type in Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves)

Drinking, Drugs & Smoking: Friar Tuck is an alcoholic, praises beer more than God.

Also there is a part where you see Robin Hoods bare bottom.
