The Dwindling Days of Summer

The sun takes a little longer to get above the trees in the morning and there is a chill in the air. Summer is winding down. It is almost time for back to school. Say it isn’t so. No more sleeping late, reading books until your eyes droop. Lazing about.

Make the most of what is left (unless, of course you are in the southern hemisphere).

A little reminder of what you can do.

Enjoy!! Have a great weekend.

Seeing things differently

Sometimes we can become blind to things around us.  Sometimes we don’t even see them. We use them everyday and lose awareness of them, they fade into the background. We take them for granted.

But once in while the veil is lifted and we look with different eyes, from a different angle, or  actually stop and look. If you are a reader you probably love books. The feel, the cover art, the paper texture, the print.

But a book is a book.

Or so you think.

The artist Su Blackwell does extraordinary things with books. She uses them to make creations. How wonderful is this?
