It’s Banned Books Week again people! The week when we are reminded that it is always a good time to read a book that is banned or challenged. First Amendment rights. This is what the Founding Fathers worked so hard for. So once again we will consider what books they are, and why you should definitely read them. This is actually voting, but without having to stand in line, or fill out forms. By reading a banned book you are voting for freedom from censorship, voting for freedom of speech and standing up for democracy.
For those who may not know Banned Books Week is the week designated by the American Library Association to celebrate the freedom to read. You can read more about it here and here.
