Review

I absolutely loved this TV show and think it is absolutely fantastic. Netflix is completely outdoing themselves in their new movies and TV shows with Marco Polo (which I am still watching and love) and some of their movies like Special Correspondents and many others like their animes which are pretty darn good as well. Overall I am really impressed. And this one was fantastic.

If you have watched Under the Dome, the TV show based around Stephen Kings book, then it has a similar feel to that, but this is based more in the 80’s and 90’s and really does make you feel like you are in that period with everything going on. There is a decent amount of special effects but not so much so that it becomes silly or stupid. It plays mostly on suspense and catching glimpses of things.

Essentially these children go missing because of a government experiment with a creature and it’s about everyone trying to find those who went missing and this mysterious girl who shows up. The acting is really good and the story keeps you hooked! Each episode is only about 50 minutes long and season 1 has only 8 episodes so it’s not very long. But apparently there is a season 2 being talked about, so I am very interested if they will make one. It did receive very positive reviews and they ended season 1 like there could be a second season, as there are still unanswered questions, so I’m really excited to see what is going to happen.

Overall it is a dark TV show, as it is classified as Sci-Fi/Horror, but it isn’t exactly scary. There are moments which make you jump as the creature is kind of creepy but it’s nothing like some of the horror movies which are currently out there. They also love to use the lights as a form of communication between ‘worlds’ and I really find it so cool when they do that. Makes it creepy without it being…too creepy.

I also LOVE the theme song for the show. It really has a Tron kind of feel.

Overall it really was a fantastic TV show and I do recommend watching it as it’s nothing like is out there, in my opinion. It feels more like a long movie than a TV show because of the story. It has a very intricate story and I haven’t found a TV show with such a good story for a long time, or one that is like this.

So check it out and let me know what you think.

And happy viewing.

Try not to get sucked into the Upside-Down!

Review

I absolutely love this show! It’s one of the few shows that I actually have been religiously following and wanting to watch. I never really commit to a show and make time during my busy week to sit down and watch but this is actually one of them. The last time I did this was Season 1 of Hawaii Five-0.

If you have seen Castle, then this is kind of similar to that kind of set up. With the detective work, playful banter and awkward kind of romance-ish stuff going on that you’re not sure if they’re flirting or just messing around. It covers all the bases from action to detective work to biblical stuff and more. It’s definitely the most creative interpretation of Lucifer that I have seen so far and I’m definitely curious to see where it will go…AS IT HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR A SECOND SEASON! Thank god.

The acting isn’t superb as I have seen better acting but for a TV show it’s pretty good and the story line is interesting as well. It’s got a similar feel to all of these crime shows where each episode kind of stands alone but there is some intricate story going on beneath the entire season. This has that going on between Lucifer, Amenadiel and Mazikeen as two of them are from the underworld and Amanadiel is from heaven sent to get Lucifer to go back to hell where he belongs.

I do like the locations in which this is filmed though. Lucifer owns a bar and the bar is incredible and I’d love to go and visit a place like that but of course they are VIP places. It’s always got this kind of dark feel which pulls upon the demonic qualities of Lucifer so everything has this dark feel to it.

I’m extremely curious as to what season 2 is going to hold, especially after that season finale. Like good god. And also what music they’ll put into the episodes because the music is fantastic as well!

I’d definitely recommend watching this show if you’re looking for a new show to follow as this one is fantastic. It isn’t as supernatural as the shows Supernatural but there are definitely otherworldly things going on. If supernatural qualities turn you off from a show, it shouldn’t really effect you for this show because they aren’t a massive quality but they are there to spice it up a little bit.

Otherwise check it out!

And let me know what you think!

Happy Watching!

Review

This show was sooooo cute! Like it was adorable. It was definitely a romantic comedy although the romance that the viewers would want didn’t happen until much later in the season which was so annoying. It was honestly such a romantically frustrating show because of that too. I kept wanting Seung Jo and Ha Ni to get together but it took forever!!!

First off this show had an adorable theme song. You can tell a lot about a show from the theme song and since it’s got such a light theme song, you can tell it’s going to be a light an fluffy show.

Now this show was a romantic comedy and that was pretty much strictly all it was about. There were a few other themes such as growing up and going to university, but the majority of the show was just about romance which was cute as a lot of other shows have so much going on, or some do. But do not confuse this show with an anime or anything like that. It’s a Korean Drama and these shows of course usually don’t have much going on for the story line and are fluff to watch.

Playful Kiss' cover

There was a little bit of character development within the show, but for the most part Seung Jo pretty much remained cold through the entire show and Ha Ni continued to be cute and light and bubbly throughout the show which was nice. She was always so happy that you couldn’t help but smile whenever she was on the screen, which was most of the time.

Definitely towards the end of the show, when their relationship started to develop the emotions went up, big time. I was pretty much bawling towards the end, though I won’t tell you why.

Honestly, this was just a cute TV show and definitely one to check out if you have some time. You can find it on Netflix or some KDrama website where you can watch it for free. It does make most Top 10 Romantic Comedy Korean Drama’s so it is a good one to check out.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Shadowhunter TV Show??

Excuse me but I guess I can call this a public service announcement or maybe a public service awakening or something!

BUT WHO ELSE KNOW ABOUT THE UPCOMING SHADOWHUNTER TV SHOW?!

BECAUSE I DID NOT! AND I’M OVER HERE FREAKING OUT!!!!!!

Now that I got it out, I’ll compose myself.

ABC Family Shadowhunter The Mortal Instruments promotional image

ABC Family Shadowhunter The Mortal Instruments coming January 2016

But apparently, ABC Family has picked up Cassandra Clare’s book and has decided to make it into a series and will air in January 2016.

Click here to view Cassandra Clare’s website with information and click here to see the official TV show website…and start the fangirling (or fanboying) with me!

To say I’m excited is an understatement and I’m going to have to totally watch this and I’ll get a review written that hopefully will be gushing and just saying lots of nice things.

But we shall see how well they do in keeping it close to the book or what they will do with it.

So who else is excited?!
