Harry Potter 20th Anniversary!!!

“Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much”

Please view this in your web browser. And turn your sound on!!

The first line that started it all. And here we are, 20 year later, looking back on the magical world that so many of us are a part of! It has been part of so many of our lives and we were brought up with it.

“You’re a wizard, Harry.”

― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

I joined the series a few books in, as I was a little too young to read the series, but once I joined, I flew through the entire series! I got the last book in the series when I was stuck in the UK in 2010 and read all 607 pages in 5 days. Not too bad for a younger me!

And now we have so much! Pottermore! Harry Potter World! Side plays! New movies from the universe! How exciting it all is and magical too! It is almost like….the wizards are real!

Turns out I’m also a Gryffindor (but have a nice bit of Ravenclaw in me too). What’s your house??

I’m excited to say that I have ordered a Harry Potter candle from Wick and Fable. Hopefully it will be here soon! I got the beautiful Phoenix Tears candle and can’t wait! I wish it was here for today to celebrate!

Do you have any Harry Potter themed things?

“It’s wingardium leviOsa, not leviosAH.”

– J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

I’ll definitely have to re-read the series now and once again enjoy the magical world that has become so intricate in so many of our lives. It has brought so many people together, all around the world. No matter who you are, you know something of Harry Potter and that is a very special thing.

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”

― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

I remember when one of the books came out, the second to last one I think, I was on the plane a few days after it had come out. Almost everyone on the plane was reading the book. It was so magical! It brought everyone together and everyone was in the universe together.

And who says magic doesn’t exist?!

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”

– J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

Butterbeer? Starbucks?!

Apparently Starbucks, after J.K. Rowling announced Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, came up with a Butterbeer Frappucino. I don’t know if they’re still selling it in some places, however, you can make it yourself!

Just click here!

How yummy does it look! I’d love to try it.

Eighth Harry Potter Story?!?!

Apparently, this summer, J.K. Rowlings script of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Part I and II will be published as a book this summer!

“The publication won’t be a novel, as many fans had hoped, but will allow those who haven’t managed to get hold of tickets to the sold out, two-part production of the play, which opens on July 30.”

Click here to find out more. I definitely will be checking this out!

“Reading Habits Based on Hogwarts Houses”

With the new movie adaption of the well-known book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by J.K. Rowling being talked about a lot, Harry Potter has once again hit the spotlight, even though it technically didn’t really leave.

But did you ever wonder what your reading habits were, based on the Hogwarts Houses? BookRiot compiled the habits based on houses and they are interesting to say the least.

I do believe that I fit into the Gryffindor category, but I have a little mixture of all the houses. How about you?
