The Wizard of Oz

If you should find yourself on Google today  you will see a lovely Google Doodle of “The Wizard of Oz” as they are rather oddly celebrating the 71st (why 71?) anniversary of the movie, which came out in 1939. It doesn’t seem that old, does it? And what a classic it is. The Guardian has put together a list of some really interesting facts about the movie here. Who knew there was such drama in the making of the movie? Why not pop down to your local library and get a copy and watch it tonight.
